This 2 session class will teach you how to use your sewing machine.  We will make a simple patchwork piece, as well as a simple market style bag.  Session one will focus on the patchwork, and session two will focus on the bag.  Both projects are very simple so we can focus on getting you comfortable using your machine.

You will need to bring your machine with you to class.  The class fee includes one spool of sewing thread.  A small notions kit will also be included in the fee, and this kit will include small scissors, straight pins, a measuring tape, and a fabric marking pen.

In order to make the projects, you will need some fabrics.  The recommendation is 1/12 yards each of two fabrics for the market bag, and 1/4 yard each of two fabrics for the patchwork project.  If you purchase your fabrics in the shop, you will receive a 15% discount.
