Olive Quilt Pattern by Carolyn Friedlander.
Foundation paper pieced trees are elegant and striking in colorful prints, solids or stripes. When I worked on Olive Street in St. Louis, Missouri I would watch the trees change throughout the year from my office window. This constant reminder of time and season was something new to a Florida native.
My Olive project is named for that view. It can be made to reflect the seasons or time of day, or to tell an entirely different story all together.
