Handmade linocut reduction print.
Golden hen, printed using 5 layers. A reduction print is made by using only one carved block, and carving away a bit more of the block for every color layer printed. This means once the print is completed, it cannot be printed again, as the block has been destroyed.
Hens are printed using Cranfield Caligo Safe Wash inks, on white BFK Rives paper.
Paper measures 5.5" square, and image measures 4" square.
Because these prints are made by hand, each one will vary slightly. Each print is numbered, titled and signed.
